859 Sports High Performers 1/21

Here are a few of the area’s high performers so far this season in boys basketball.  Three Silver Grove Big Trains make the board and Owen County’s Carson Williams is a big reason why the Rebels are clinging to the top of the 859Sports.com 8th Region computer rankings.  Here is a Carson Williams dunk.

  1. Austin Crawford, Bracken County: 25.8 pts/g through 20 games. 38 against Nicholas County.
  2. Carson Williams, Owen County: 24.9 pts/g through 18 games, 70.9%, 14.3 rbs/g (1st in state). Had 28 points and 18 rebounds against Walton Verona.
  3. Trent Thompson, Harrison County: 24.2 pts/g through 17 games. Had a school record 43 points in a loss at Cooper.
  4. Austin Cummins, Anderson County: 22.9 pts/g through 15 games.  Had six 3-pointers in one game.
  5. Dorian Henry, Mason County: Shooting 71.5% in 214 field goal attempts.
  6. Grant Romes, Covington Catholic: Shooting 67.3% in 55 field goal attempts.
  7. Roderick Avery, Holmes: Shooting 64.4% in 174 field goal attempts.
  8. Deion Cochran, Collins: 94% from the free throw line, 83 attempts.
  9. Randy Kuntz, Silver Grove: 88.7% from the free throw line, 53 attempts.
  10. Cole Vonhandorf, Covington Catholic: 87.5% from the free throw line, 88 attempts.
  11. Michael Dunaway, Trimble County: 86.5% from the free throw line, 82 attempts. 11.6 rebounds per game.
  12. Jake Ohmer, Scott: 84.3% from the free throw line, 135 attempts.
  13. Kenny Ball, Highlands: 40/104 from 3-point range.
  14. Christian Pollitt: Silver Grove: 33/69 from 3-point range.
  15. Matt Wilson, Campbell County: 11.2 rebounds per game.
  16. Billy Miller, Silver Grove: 10.4 rebounds per game.
